Petlas Tire and Trade Corp. continues its investments on a vast scale. Within the scope of its future projects Petlas, took crucial steps towards combining information technology and industry.
Linked to related projects, Final Finish Sorting System (FFSS) has been completed and start running in recent months; Petlas has also started to build a fully automatic smart warehouse.
With that smart warehouse Petlas aims to have product traceability feature from production line to delivery to all its customers around the world. Addition to that, smart warehouse means less space and effectiveness comparing with other conventional solutions.
After implementation of smart warehouse, products will be directed by unique software. Interim storage, storage and shipment procedures will be managed by robots and special automatic means. Also, dataflow during the process will be conducted by computers. After implementing that smart warehouse Petlas will be capable of storing and operating 1.6 million tires in full automatic.

The other implemented technology is Final Finish Sorting System (FFSS). This ststem has started to work a couple of months ago. This system is based on uniformity-balance test machines, superintendent devices, conveyor systems- which direct tires- and smart computer software. Thanks to FFSS, all passenger car tires are automatically classified and palletized. After this process, tires became ready for storage. The selected tires are then easily classified and directed to related stations into the storage line. With the robotic systems, performance labels are automatically sticked on the tires and tires are directed to shipment stations. Then, these tires are packed by their sizes in shipment stations. After that, robots could organize tires considering the sizes and tire orders according to FIFO system. FFSS classifies, handles and palletizes 50.000 tires in a day.
For Petlas product quality is a must. From this point of view Petlas will continue to its investments in the near future to give the best service and quality tires to its customers. Stay tuned!
