ALL STEEL

These tires have steel plies in the sidewall and under the tread.

This construction is used to deliver more endurance in demanding conditions in comparison to combined tires with radial structure (with fabric cord casing). All steel tires ensure high load capacity with low heat build-up and deliver exceptional retreadibility.

MONO BEAD WIRE

Mono bead wire technology strengthens the link between tire and rim for a more precise driving experience.

Also improves lateral stability in high speed cornering and uniformity for smoother ride. Thanks to that tire construction technology, uniformity and durability of the tire is improved.

RUN-FLAT INSERT COMPATIBILITY

Extended mobility is of vital importance for military operations or public services regarding emergency cases.

For the safety and continuity of strategic operations, equipping the vehicle with an additional run-flat mechanism attached between the rim and the tire is a common application to avoid any security problems in case of a sudden loss of tire pressure depending on whether ballistic impact or terrain related damage. By implementing run-flat inserts, the vehicles are able to be moved forward for up to 100 km (depending on the specifications of the mechanism) with an acceptable speed to escape the area of incident or to complete the duty without interruption.

The specially developed compound mixture of Petlas MPT tires improves the tire’s resistance to the friction with this additional system and to the heating up stemming from this friction.

LOW PRESSURE

A very common practice to help a vehicle cope with extremely soft surfaces such as thick sand or swamps is deflating the tire pressure to improve traction.

The carefully arranged tread profile and special mixture of Petlas MPT tires are durable to moving barely on the rim to let the drivers deflate the tire to the preferred pressure when a sank in vehicle is needed to be rescued from sand or swamp.

This feature is crucial for military operations because it avoids interruptions without losing much of the limited timeframes assigned to each specific task.
